Although Botanical Artistry can be like an extreme sport sometimes, it has given Alison the opportunity to draw out the things she really loves, becoming even more deeply connected to nature as she accesses her intuition and finds unconventional ways of making what seems impossible happen.

Alison's Open Studio will include gravity defying installations built by ‘gathering’ from my garden and surrounding property and will be mixed with ‘old soul objects’. 

Often garden trimmings destined for the compost heap are wrestled into a wreath with no frame, just sturdy branches coerced into a vague circle with the rest of the materials added to ‘circlify’ it. 

With hospitality in Alison's veins, she welcomes all to visit her studio on her little farm to scrutinise the mechanics of her displays and no doubt discover that she prefers a natural style with subtle imperfections that clearly reflects her personal ethos.
