About the Artist

Being creative is as natural as breathing. If it's not on canvas or paper it's with food, or flowers or whatever is at hand.

The themes or inspiration behind Cassandra's work can usually be found in nature with florals and animals being the most common.

A love of colour sees her restrict her palette so she doesn't overuse colour in her work but that doesn't mean the subject is necessarily painted true to colour rather it is painted to match the palette choice.

Working mainly in acrylic or watercolour - mood and subject dependent, Cassandra's work is very self-explanatory.

She paints to capture a need to create. It brings her joy and she finds peace and comfort when she is lost in a painting mixing colours and experimenting with paint application.

There is a great sense of achievement when she finishes a painting and sometimes it may have taken a very different road to that first imagined.

When others also enjoy what she has created to her that is the icing on the cake.
