Wendy Groves, was a Folk and Decorative Artist and Teacher who unfortunately passed away unexpectedly late last year. Her family wish to honour her by opening up her home studio where she painted and taught for over 35 years. Tyarna, Wendy's daughter will be in attendance, creating her own artwork in the studio. Wendy was a calm and inspiring teacher with a friendly nature who empowered others to connect to their creative side. She worked closely with artists from all over the world and became lifelong friends with her students who she taught year after year. |

Wendy has left behind a beautiful legacy of creativity that her family wish to share with others, as being in her space and viewing her work is an experience that never ceases to ignite inspiration. From her delicate brushwork to her love of Christmas, from her flawless floral work to her quirky sense of humour, so evident in her original works, Wendy's Studio is a masterpiece in itself.
An exhibition of her life's work, enabling the community and her loved ones to come and pay tribute to the exceptional artist she was, is the perfect way to honour Wendy's creative contribution to the Peel Community.
